We Build Science Games That Work

Arludo is a unique game development studio that merges in-house expertise in game design, research, and education. We create science-based games that work as genuine educational tools and research instruments — not just entertainment.

What makes Arludo different

Underpinned by Research

We have active connections with researchers across Australia and globally. Games we build can function as published research instruments — we've collected over 10,000,000 data points for clients.

Exceptional Educators

Our team includes primary, secondary, and tertiary educators. Every game we build is curriculum-aware and classroom-tested, from Year 3 through to university.

Data-Driven by Design

We design games as experiments. Players generate real data as they play, which can be analysed, published, and used to answer genuine research questions.

Our process

  1. Scope
We work with you to define the science concept, target audience, learning outcomes, and data your game needs to capture.

  2. Prototype
We'll create a prototype that allows you to test all the game mechanics to make sure the game is fun and teaches the concepts you want taught.

  3. Build
Our team designs and develops the game — handling everything from mechanics and visual design through to data architecture and curriculum alignment.

  4. Release
We launch and deploy the game, ready for classroom, lecture theatre, or public use — on web, iOS, or Android.

  5. Updates
Games are living products. We iterate based on player data, educator feedback, and evolving research needs.

  6. Research
Where relevant, we support the publication of findings from your game's data — from study design through to journal submission.
